The BD Ultra-Fine™ Mini Insulin Pen Needle with Pentapoint™ Comfort is part of BD's new line of insulin pen needles designed to not only prioritize precise insulin-dosing, but also comfort and ease-of-use for the patient. The Ultra-Fine™ Mini pen needle is the second shortest needle in this line. This means that it is not only less intimidating for the patient, it is also less painful and reduces tissue damage during injection, while still being as effective as longer needles.

The Pentapoint™ Comfort feature is a redesign of the classic 3-bevel tip of BD insulin needles. The Ultra-Fine™ Mini needle is now built with a 5-bevel tip that drastically improves user experience. The needle itself is made from electro-polished surgical grade steel with with Micro-bonded™ lubrication.
