Sofia FIA System The Sofia system is a fluorescent immunoassay that qualitatively detects SARS-CoV or SARS-CoV-2 antigens, normally concentrated in the upper respiratory tract. The areas are sampled through nasal and nasopharyngeal swabs, which are then immersed in a reagent before being applied to the test cassette for analyzer processing. Additionally, the automated result readouts are ready in 15 minutes for quicker patient-care options.
