The Quidel Sofia RSV Test Kit directly detects respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) nucleoprotein antigen from nasopharyngeal swab and nasopharyngeal aspirate/wash specimens. Using immunofluorescence-based lateral-flow technology, it offers the ultimate confidence in rapid RSV Testing. Used together with Sofia 2, it provides rapid, accurate, and objective results.

RSV is a single-stranded virus that is a causative agent of an acute viral infection of the respiratory tract. It is highly contagious among pediatric and elderly populations. Rapid section is necessary to avoid further complications among patients.

The Sofia RSV Test is easy to perform. When used with Sofia 2, it can provide results in as fast as 3 minutes. Dual work modes easily adjust to volume fluctuations. It features a self-contained test cassette that is easy to use and dispose after testing. The fixed volume pipette collects and dispenses the exact amount of sample.
