The Surgical Specialties™ Silk Precision Reverse Cutting Double Armed Sutures, 3/8 Circle - 12 per Box is a sterile and non-absorbable surgical device made to hold body tissues after an injury or surgery throughout the wound recovery process.

Excellent Design. With its noncapillary silk construction, the Surgical Specialties™ Silk Precision Reverse Cutting Sutures has high tensile strength with a uniform smooth surface that permits hassle-free passage through the tissue. It also has great handling and tying characteristics. The Suture has a non-reflective finish that makes the needle easier to identify under bright surgical lights and ensures consistent needle strength and durability. It is black braided and is double-armed (Has a needle on each side).

Optimal Healing. Since it is non-absorbable by the body, the Silk Sutures is not subjected to weakening by an action of tissue enzymes which can dissolve other sutures too early in the healing process. It also resists involvement in infection and minimizes later sinus formation & suture extrusion. A Suture Size of 2-0 is great for the closure of thick skin, fascia, muscle and tendon repair while a Suture Size of 6-0 and/or 7-0 is an optimal choice for small vessel repair/grafting and fine suturing on the hand/nailbed & face.
