BD's Persist Skin Prep provides up to seven days of antimicrobial efficacy under an occlusive dressing and lays the foundation for your IV catheter start. A fast and easy one-step application that applies and dries in less than a minute. 

Povidone iodine remains on the skin to deliver continuous antimicrobial activity and protect the skin by reducing irritation caused by dressing adhesives. Each stick provides a single-solution application with a dry time of approximately 45 seconds. This reduces both the number of steps and time required to adequately prepare the site. The light caramel color distinguishes the prepped area without masking the site. These swabsticks use the BD Persist Formulation of 70% alcohol, 10% povidone iodine formulated in a unique polymer base to provide a fast-acting and broad-spectrum kill as well as long-term efficacy and skin protection.
