Monosof Nonabsorbable Sutures, Size 3-0

The Monosof and Dermalon monofilament and Surgilion nylon sutures are inert, braided and non-absorbable sterile sutures.

Monosof sutures are made from the long chain aliphatic polymers Nylon 6 and Nylon 6.6. The sutures are braided and coated evenly with silicone to improve handling characteristics and ease of passage through tissue and reduction of capillarity.

Monosof sutures are used in general soft tissue approximation and or ligation including cardiovascular, neurological and ophthalmic surgery.

Dermalon monofilament sutures are non- absorbable nylon surgical sutures and are available dyed blue and black. Blue sutures are easier to see for knot placement and removal in areas with dense natural hair.

The suture features a Tri-coined Reverse Cutting edge needle. The needle has properties that are best used for ophthalmic procedures and traction suture placement. It assists in better approximation of tough tissue. The needle has a NuCoat Technology coating that gives it better initial and multi-pass penetration resulting in less chance for tissue damage.
