The Surgical Specialties™ Monoderm™ Absorbable Sutures with Precision Reverse Cutting Needles, 3/8 Circle are sterile, synthetic, monofilament polyglycolic acid sutures used in subcuticular closure and soft tissue approximation.

Surgical Specialties™ Monoderm™ Sutures consistently meet the demands of surgery professionals worldwide. These sutures are characterized by excellent handling and pliability. Sutures are essentially absorbed at 90 days. Non-reflective finish enables easier visibility under bright surgical lights. Surgical Specialties™ sutures also exhibit consistent needle strength and durability due to its precision manufacturing standards. They are equivalent to Ethicon™ Monocryl™ and Covidien™ Caprosyn™.

These sutures are available undyed or in violet color, in various suture sizes. Size 3-0 is used for closure of muscle layers or bowel repair. Sizes 4-0 and 5-0 are for larger vessel repair. Size 6-0 is for vascular graft sewing.

These sutures feature Precision Reverse Cutting needles, which feature a triangular point with cutting edge on the outer curvature. Precision-honed for extra sharpness, for reduced tissue drag. Suitable for fine, delicate closures. Available in 12 per box.
