The Covidien Maxon™ Monofilament Synthetic Absorbable Sutures are the ultimate choice for long lasting wound support and strength during the critical stages of wound healing. These sutures are ideal for use with general soft tissue approximation including fascia closure, Pediatric Cardiovasular Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, and other instances where wound healing is compromised.

The Monofilament construction minimises tissue drag and trauma as it allows for a smooth passage. The Maxon™ loop sutures can reduce closure time by up to 50 percent, which is twice the strength of a single strand. Maxon™ Monofilament Synthetic Absorbable Sutures are not indicated for use in adult cardiovascular tissue, ophthalmic surgery, and neural tissues.

These sutures are composed of Glycolide and Trimethylene Carbonate with an absorption profile of 180 days. The needle on this suture is a premium reverse cutting needle, in P-10, 3/8 Circle. It is used for reconstructive surgery procedures that involve muscle, tendons, cartilage, fascia and skin. The needle features a reverse cutting edge for deep tissue cutting and dissection. Size is 6-0, with 18” length, in color Green. Available in 36 per box.
