Kimberly Clark's KC400 Microcool Sterile Surgical Gown balances comfort and protection for a gown that is vital to your time in the operating room. The patented microporous fabric used in the construction of this gown features a layer of breathable film that is strong yet thin, and surrounding that film is soft, nonwoven fabric. Moisture vapor passes easily through the film layer while blood and body fluids are blocked - keeping the wearer cool, comfortable and, most of all, safe.
The KC400 Microcool Sterile Surgical Gown provides impervious protection from blood and other body fluids, meeting ASTM F1670 and ASTM F1671 standards for fluid resistance. It also meets the ASTM F1671 standard for bacteriophage penetration and the European Norms (EN ISO 22610) for resistance to wet microbial penetration. You don't have to worry about the threats you can't see while wearing this gown.
Additionally, the KC400 Microcool meets the ISO standard for ignition resistance, meaning the gown will not burst into open flame when near high-temperature ignition sources such as lasers and cautery devices. The gown also passes the Gelbo lint test and meets the ASTM D 4966 standard for abrasion resistance; this means lint particles that can contribute to bacterial transmission or cause foreign body reactions are not an issue with this gown.
With a generous cut, added length and raglan sleeves, this KC400 Microcool gown piles on the comfort features. The neckline is also adjustable via a hook-and-loop system, and it sports an orange neck binding for quick visual identification. The gown also uses a book fold system to unfold and fall into place over the wearer's body.
Kimberly Clark's KC400 Microcool Sterile Surgical Gown is available in Large, X-Large or XX-Large and is sold by the case (1 case of 30 Large gowns, 1 case of 28 X-Large gowns or 1 case of 26 XX-Large gowns).
