A Holter test, also known as an ambulatory electrocardiograph, is a test used by physicians to acquire ECG rhythm abnormalities that do not occur only in office. Cardiac Science offers a full line of Holter equipment (sold separately) designed for monitoring and diagnosing coronary problems in patients with shortness of breath, chest pain, arrhythmias, palpitations, cardiac medication, pacemakers, and history of heart disease, among other conditions. A patient prep kit contains everything necessary for the preparation and duration of Holter testing; 12 stress loop tape strips, one patient ID label, one surgical prep razor, skin prep scrub, batteries, patient diary, and Holter electrodes, contained within an individual poly bag for convenience. They eliminate the need to gather supplies from various locations, which can be confusing and often results in insufficient preparation.
