The Nonin 8500 Series Handheld Pulse Oximeter is a cost effective, easy-to-use, and durable pocket-sized pulse monitoring device that is EMS-ready. It can be used for spot checks as well as for continuous monitoring of SpO2 and Pulse Rate. It is the perfect device for home use. It has a bright and easy-to-read LED display and long battery life of 100 hours with maximum brightness and 160 hours with normal brightness. It features a simple 3-button operation. It is compatible with a large selection of Nonin sensors for neonates, infants, children, and adults.

This new version is upgraded and fully compliant with IEC 60601-2 Edition 4 standards. It meets all specifications for resistance to RF or electromagnetic interference, water ingress protection, precise measurements in motion and low perfusion conditions, and resistance against changes in ambient temperature.

The Hand Held Pulse Oximeter comes with a clip-style Adult Finger Sensor, which is 3-feet long and can be used for patients over 66 lbs. The Oximeter also comes with 6 AA batteries and an Instructions Manual. It is made in the USA and comes with a 3 year warranty. It has proven accuracy and is U. S. Air Force Aeromedical Certified and is approved by the FDA. The device measures 3" W x 6" H x 1" D and weighs 10 oz. with the batteries. It is powered by 6 1.5V alkaline AA batteries.
