The Baseline Dolorimeter is designed to measure pain tolerance and pain threshold. It is used by doctors and other therapeutic professionals. The dolorimeter applies a steady pressure by a standardized flat circular probe to the patient's skin until a pain threshold is reached. The level of pressure can be measured either in a pound or kilogram sensitivity level measurements.
