The Modified BD BBL India Ink Reagent Dropper, 0.5 mL features a new formulation that provides better visualization of encapsulated yeast (i.e., Cyptococcus neoformans) in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). This dropper does not involve mixing or measuring reagents, does not need refrigeration, and has a flat stand-up bottom for easier use. To protect from chemical instability and eliminate the waste associated with bulk reagents, the BBL India Ink Reagent Dropper has a one-day supply of reagent hermetically sealed inside an ampule. To perform tests, hold the dropper upright and squeeze it to crush the ampule. Tilt the dropper for drop-by-drop dispensing.
