Suction catheters are long flexible tubes that are used to remove fluids from the mouth and airways of critically ill patients. Removal of these fluids is important to ensure the lungs remain clear and the patient is able to breathe, swallow and cough properly.

The Argyle Suction Catheter with Chimney Valve features the SAFE-T-VAC chimney style valve that has a large opening on the control vent that minimizes residual suction. The catheters connector is made of polyethylene and the tube is PVC. It is latex free and sterile. It has a plastic guide finish to minimize friction and facilitate secretion removal.

The tube is 21 inches and a single use, disposable catheter. It features a low drag catheter surface for easy insertion into the ET tube. The large opening on the control vent allows for high airflow and efficient suctioning. It has staggered and opposite eyelets to reduce potential for invagination of blocked suction.
