The Yankauer or tonsil suctioning device is used for Oropharyngeal suctioning. It is usually performed using a rigid plastic catheter with one large and several small eyelets that mucous enters when suction is applied. Alert patients can be taught to use this device to control excess secretions in the mouth.

The CURITY Rigid Surgical Suction Instruments and sets are transparent with smooth tips and eyes. They are shatter-resistant, one piece construction and have an optional vent for better suction control.
