Philips Defibrillator Pads are the high quality components designed for HeartStart FR2-Series AEDs. They are intended for the use on adult, 8 years and older patients or above 55 lbs. The Pads feature a thin-flexible conductor covered with a layer of a protective polymer backing on one side and a hydro-gel adhesive on the other. They are designed to be wear-resistant and provide a dependable service under the conditions of the intense CPR procedures with no compromise on the patient’s comfort. The Pads are flexible, soft and have rounded contours to ensure secure contact and adhesion. When used with the HeartStart manual defibrillators with advanced capabilities, the pads provide additional functions such as ECG monitoring, external pacing and synchronized cardioversion by means of the multifunction electrodes.
