The Adtemp™ 423 Digital Thermometer is a great multi-purpose thermometer to have on hand. It can be used as oral, rectal, or axillary. It features a very large display for easy readings and has a 60 second response time. It has an audible alarm when the correct temperature has been reached. This thermometer uses a 1.55v (LR41) battery which is replaceable, and which is included. The battery lasts for about 1,500 readings. It has an auto-off feature, in which the thermometer will automatically turn off after about 10 minutes for conservation of the battery.
This Adtemp™ Digital Thermometer has options of Fahrenheit or Celsius scales, and a temperature range of 90° F - 109.9° F plus or minus .2° F, or 32° C - 43.2° C plus or minus .1° C. This meets the required accuracy for the ASTM E1112 international rating for this kind of thermometer. The thermometer measures 5 3/4" in length and weighs 11 grams.
The thermometer comes with a plastic case for user safety and 5 thermometer sheaths as well. It comes with instructions for use and has a two year warranty. It is latex free and water proof.
