The Ac-T 5diff AL (auto-loading) analyzer uses automatic sample processing for improved productivity and enhanced efficiency. It combines Beckman Coulter's reputation for outstanding clinical performance with simple data management and sophisticated technology, bringing you high-quality analysis and accurate, precise CBC results.
Automated efficiency: Ac-T 5diff AL reduces the time needed for sample handling, decreases operational costs and removes the risk of manual errors by eliminating the need to manually load samples. The integrated autoloader accommodates loading different trays with up to 100 samples, offering a high testing capacity with an 80 sample/hour throughput. This makes the analyzer ideal for use in low and mid-volume laboratory setting, and as back-up in larger labs. Automatic loading eliminates manual sample handling and manual data manipulation, which allows for lower operational costs while increasing overall efficiency and productivity.
Flexible testing: As well as its auto-loader, Ac-T 5diff AL has two additional sample tube holders, designed to accommodate a range of differently-sized tubes (such as pediatric tubes) for flexible use, especially when sampling manually. Standardly, CBC testing uses a 53µL whole blood sample for analysis. The device also has an STAT interrupt feature, which allows the operator to bypass standard auto-loading and load an emergency sample when prioritized testing is needed. The system uses specially formulated reagents, controls and calibrators to ensure high levels of accuracy: random access testing and onboard quality control provide complete workflow flexibility. Additionally, Interlaboratory Quality Assurance Program (IQAB) complements onboard QC to increase confidence and reliability. 20 user-definable parameters for qualitative flagging allow faster review of results, leading to more immediate return of problematic patient analyses which may indicate ill health, and reduced turnaround time.
Sophisticated technology: Ac-T 5diff CP allows laboratories using 2-part, 3-part or manual differential analysis to cost-effectively upgrade to groundbreaking, efficient and highly accurate 5-part differential hematology diagnostics. 5-part differential analysis is achieved through Absorbance Cytochemistry and Volume technology. Component populations are identified by cytochemically staining monocyte, neutrophil and eosinophil granules, and analyzing the absorbance patterns produced by staining the granules versus their volume. Lymphocytes remain unstained, and the basophil population is analyzed on a separate channel using volume gating and selective lysis. The advanced technology used in this analyzer can recognize whole blood versus platelet concentrates, and automatically applies the appropriate linearity and reportable ranges.
Streamlined data management: This system uses specially designed Windows software to ensure seamlessly efficient data management, which streamlines data recall and requires very little manual manipulation. The system includes an internal barcode reader for easy sample identification, and easy-to-use QC file management which further simplifies use. Ac-T 5diff AL also includes storage for 10,000 patient results, allowing for streamlined data recall.
User-friendly: Ac-T 5diff AL includes a fully comprehensive onboard "Help" database which uses keyword searches for quick and efficient problem solving, helping operators save time and contain maintenance costs. Zero routine maintenance requirements ensure low operational and upkeep costs and minimal labor. CBC or CBC/diff modes and the required patient ranges can easily be selected from the front keyboard display for easy, hassle-free programming, and single-step setup, operation and shutdown speed workflow. The user-friendly software and intuitive, icon-driven user interface ensure easy, hassle free use. There is a choice of different report formats.
