Overview for Exel 26786 AV Fistula - Single Pack with Backeye 12'' Tube, Clamp, Fixed Wing - 500/Cs

The Exel AV Fistulas - Single Pack with Backeye 12'' Tube, Clamp, Fixed Wing comes with ultrathin wall needles which allow optimal blood flow in the body. It has a sharp needle for effortless and near painless penetration. Patients will feel almost no discomfort as the needle is siliconized. Wings on the other hand, are color coded so nurses, doctors, clinicians and other health care workers can quickly identify it.

This device can be utilized for several medical procedures just like AV Fistulas for hemodialysis.

Fistula used in hemodialysis creates a direct connection of the artery to the vein. By the time the fistula is set, it naturally becomes part of the body. This is basically the more preferred access method by numerous healthcare experts since when the fistula matures and becomes stronger and bigger, it offers access with adequate blood flow that could last for decades.

It may take few weeks up to months prior to the fistulas reach maturity once it’s surgically created. It is only then will it be ready for hemodialysis. Those who have kidney disease may do exercises such as squeezing rubber balls in an effort to strengthen the fistulas before use.
