The Amerex 36117 lbs Halon 1211 BCF Fire Extinguisher (Class ABC) is a large, multi-purpose portable extinguisher designed to fight Class A (ordinary combustibles), Class B (flammable liquids and gases), and Class C (electrical equipment) fires without damaging computers, engines, and other expensive equipment. This makes it ideal for server rooms, manufacturing sites, warehouses, and even aircraft and marine vessels. With a UL rating of 4A:80B:C, it has the same firefighting power as 5 gallons of water, and it can stop 80 square feet of Class B fires. The Amerex 361 model comes with a wall bracket with an optional USCG bracket and dolly cart (both are sold separately).
Superior firefighting power. Halon 1211 is a liquefied, compressed gas that is used for “streaming” or applications where you need to direct a stream of liquid agent to a fire. It extinguishes fire by breaking the chain reaction of the three elements of fire: oxygen, heat, and fuel. Halon 1211 quickly penetrates hard-to-reach areas, does not cause cold or static shock, and does not impair the operator’s vision. It’s also safe to use around humans in confined spaces because of its low toxicity level. The Amerex 361 can reach 12-18 feet when discharged, with a discharge time of 22 seconds.
User-friendly design. The Amerex Halon 1211 extinguishers are designed to be easy to use to ensure successful and safe fire suppression. The 361 model comes factory-charged and ready to use, with a stainless-steel pull pin and a large loop for easy pulling. It has an easy-to-use hose for easy application of the agent. As with all Amerex extinguishers, it is QR-coded and has bilingual labels.
Rugged, reliable build. Amerex is known for its high-quality fire extinguishers that are guaranteed to last long with proper maintenance and service. The Amerex 361 Halon extinguisher features a stored pressure design with a dependable steel cylinder, corrosion-resistant high-gloss polyester powder paint, and a heavy-duty chrome-plated brass valve construction. All Amerex Halon extinguishers are safe to use in temperatures ranging from -65°F to 120°F. To keep your Halon extinguisher in top condition, regular maintenance as outlined in the owner’s manual must be conducted.
Mounting options. The 361 model can be quickly installed using the included 00577 wall bracket. Please refer to the owner’s manual for proper installation. The 361 can be USCG approved when used with the 810 bracket (sold separately) as listed on the extinguisher’s UL label. It can also be mounted using the 864 rubber straps (sold separately) for easier replacement and adjustment. It is also compatible with the 859 Amerex Dolly Cart (sold separately) for easier transport.
