Blood Collection Tubes

The Covidien blood collection tubes are containers used by medical technicians and other clinical professionals to store and collect blood specimens for laboratory tests. Tigermedical provides a full line of tube variety including microtainer, vacuatiner and standard collection tubes. These tubes come with a Hemogard Closure with rubber stopper that prevents health care workers from making direct contact with the blood sample.

Vacutainer are plastic or glass tubes with closure. These types of tubes are mainly used to draw blood. The closure also reduces the risk of exposure against bloodborne pathogens.

Microtainer tubes are specially-designed tubes that ensure that a quality capillary blood sample is collected. These are also used for centrifugation, storing and transport of blood specimens.
