System 2450 Electrosurgical Unit

The simple yet highly sophisticated System 2450 is ConMed's work horse electrosurgical generator. It combines advanced, powerful technology with an easy-to-use interface, making it ideal for general surgery and specialist surgeries that don't require advanced modes.

Dynamic Response Technology: Proprietary Dynamic Response Technology has been designed to maximize the clinical effects offered by System 2450. It samples the current and voltage 450,000 times per second and continually synchronizes them, allowing the system to respond to tissue impedance in under 10 milliseconds. This enables a high level of efficiency, as the system achieves optimized output quickly and accurately. This ensures that only the precise voltage needed is safely delivered to each tissue type.

Choice of modes: System 2450 offers a range of electrosurgical modes and clinical effects from which surgeons can choose. These include four monopolar modes: pure cut, blend cut, standard coagulation and spray coagulation, and two bipolar modes: mirco and macro.

Connectivity: System 2450 includes one combined monopolar handswitch/footswitch jack, which features an incorporated Bovie-style footswitch connector. There is also a separate handswitch jack, allowing surgeons to connect multiple accessories. A serial interface port enables advanced comminucations between System 2450 and approved compatible robotic surgical systems and OR integration systems. Additionally, this system includes an integrated interface for connecting and activating a smoke evacuation system.

Easy-to-use: System 2450 has a range of features designed for maximized efficiency and easy use. Automatic programming restores the system to the last user-selected settings used, helping to streamline the surgical process by automatically resetting the unit to the surgeon's preferences. This system also features front-panel volume control.

Patient safety: This system features continuous Automatic Return Monitoring (ARM). This important safety monitoring system prevents unnecessary burns and reduces blood loss.
