The Invacare Element Pneumatic Oxygen Conserver delivers a consistent volume of oxygen with each breath - up to 40 breaths per minute. This oxygen regulator is intended for prescription use only and may be used as part of a portable oxygen delivery system. This oxygen conserver is ideal for patients that require supplemental oxygen in their home, and for ambulatory use. This regulator is designed to be use with high pressure oxygen systems.
The oxygen regulator consists of a cylinder connection, cylinder contents gauge (when equipped), high to low pressure regulator, orifice plate, and a conserving demand module. The regulator reduces the high pressure of the cylinder to meet the working pressure of the orifice plate.
The orifice plate uses calibrated orifices that delivers a selected flow to the conserving demand module. The conserving demand module controls the pulse size and timing to each patient. A pulse of oxygen is supplied at the beginning of each breath. This reduces the oxygen demand on the system and limits the drying of the patients' airways. The flow is determined by setting the flow control knob to the prescribed/needed flow, and the oxygen is supplied to the patient though a cannula.
This model features a compact design and is CGA870 compatible. No batteries are required to run the regulator. One single knob controls the on/off, liter flow, and continuous flow mode. A two year warranty assures you that any difficulties you may encounter will be quickly and efficiently resolved.
