Kendall™ Calcium Alginate Dressings are intended to act together with the sodium in wounds to create an ionic exchange and help the epitheliazation process start. The dressing absorbs exudates up to 20 times its weight, maximizing wound fluid retention and allowing for fewer dressing changes. Healthcare professionals can choose between regular, high-quality calcium alginate dressings or calcium dressings that feature the added benefits of zinc.

A gel block protects the skin by binding to the exudates, which prevents skin maceration. The exclusive calcium to sodium ratio helps regulate the wound bed with the calcium donation and sodium removal. The high calcium levels allow hemostasis to occur faster. The isotonic sodium configuration is tender on the wound. These dressings are also very easy to remove, and they cause minimal to no tissue trauma. The dressings' special composition (combined with the weaving pattern) helps maximize patient comfort debridement.

Kendall™ Calcium Alginate Dressings can be used with deep & tunneling wounds, venous ulcers, diabetic ulcers, arterial ulcers, donor sites, second-degree burns, pressure ulcers, heavy to moderate exudating wounds, abrasions, lacerations, and skin tears.
