Ac-T 5diff CP (cap pierce) offers 5-part differential testing for complete, exact results. It combines Beckman Coulter's sterling reputation for clinical excellence with state-of-the-art technology, to provide a safe and affordable CBC analyzer which delivers consistently reliable and accurate patient care, every time.
Increased safety: State-of-the-art and highly convenient cap piercing technology allows quick, direct access to closed-tube samples. It automatically pierces tube caps: this reduces the need to handle samples and the time required for testing, while increasing lab efficiency and operator safety by eliminating exposure to potential biohazards.
Flexible, accurate testing: Ac-T 5diff CP analyzer uses a 53µL whole blood sample for testing in CBC/diff mode, and a 30µL sample for CBC only analysis. It is capable of analyzing within 26 different parameters. It has two sample tube holders, which accommodate a range of differently-sized tubes (including pediatric tubes) for increased flexibility when testing. It uses specially formulated reagents, controls and calibrators to ensure consistently high accuracy. Automated quality control evaluations reduce manual errors and help guarantee reliability, and the Interlaboratory Quality Assurance Program (IQAP) complements in-house QC for increased reliability and confidence. User-definable qualitative flagging ensures speedy review of patient results for decreased turnaround: 20 patient and action ranges and random access testing allows for complete flexibility.
Advanced technology: Ac-T 5diff CP allows laboratories using 2-part, 3-part or manual differential analysis to cost-effectively upgrade to groundbreaking, efficient and highly accurate 5-part differential hematology diagnostics. 5-part differential analysis is achieved through Absorbance Cytochemistry and Volume technology. Component populations are identified by cytochemically staining monocyte, neutrophil and eosinophil granules, and analyzing the absorbance patterns produced by staining the granules versus their volume. Lymphocytes remain unstained, and the basophil population is analyzed on a separate channel using volume gating and selective lysis.
Extensive data management: Ac-T 5diff CP has a large patient storage memory capable of storing 10000 results, allowing for streamlined data recall. It has 20 patient ranges with five programmable ranges for gender and age flagging, allowing for speedier review of abnormal results which may indicate patient health issues. This analyzer has a 60 sample/hour throughput for streamlined workflow, making it ideal for maximized productivity in small or mid-volume clinical and laboratory settings.
User friendly system: Ac-T 5diff CP features a user-friendly interface with intuitive software and onboard reagents, set in a compact, space-efficient design to help conserve space in busy laboratory settings. Its comprehensive on-board "Help" database utilizes key word searches to provide quick, easy problem solving. This analyzer has zero routine maintenance requirements, which saves time and labor, and minimizes the cost of upkeep and ownership. Additionally, automatic calibration saves time and further reduces the unit's maintenance needs. Single-step setup, operation and shutdown controls speed workflow and help maximize uptime. CBC or CBC/diff modes can easily be selected from the easy-to-use keyboard display for easy, customizable programming and efficient sample analysis. There are five different report unit format options, three of which are customizable.
